What Is Sathsangam?
There are two meanings to "Sat sangam". In the ordinary meaning, it implies moving with spiritual people and participating in Bhajan and sankeertan etc. But there is an esoteric meaning to "Sath Sang". "Sath" literally means the "Everlasting" which is nothing but the Self or Atma or God. Hence "Sathsang" in the real context means dwelling in the "Self" or "God".
Keeping the focus on God always constitutes "Sathsang". Moving with 'sadhaks' of course keep you engaged in good activities. It prevents you from indulging in the worldly activities. Hence, this is only a first stage. We have to keep "God" as our main aim and move in this world for the barest minimum.
